Our junior high and high school departments have been given an incredible opportunity to raise $15,000 this weekend, but we need your help!

This Sunday, November 12, a Hollywood film company is coming to Springfield to film a commercial for a new gaming app. If we can get 150 individuals, age 13 or older, to participate from 12pm-2pm at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, our students will receive $15,000 to put towards much needed new equipment in the Oasis. For the filming, you will have to wear a headpiece and carry a foam sword.

Our junior high and high school students are making an entire day out of this opportunity. They plan to meet at 9:30am for service at the Jefferson Street Campus. Following service, they will help move items for our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes packing week, have some pizza, and then travel together by bus to and from the fairgrounds. A bus waiver will have to be completed by the parent of any student traveling by bus.

Volunteers can also meet us at the Multi-Purpose Arena at the fairgrounds no later than 12pm if they are not able to join us earlier that morning.

If you or your student plans to join us, please let us know you plan to come so we can include you in our count towards 150!

If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact Pastor Michael in the Church Office.
