…to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:12-13

At Calvary, we believe we are called to help all people become mature followers of Christ. Whether you are new to your faith or actively maturing in your faith, we want to equip you to take your next step in your walk with God through opportunities to learn and grow.

What's the Difference? A Comparison of Competing Worldviews
Wednesdays at 7pm, starting January 10
Choir Room, Hazel Dell Campus

The Bible calls Christians to have their minds renewed to discern right from wrong and good from evil.  During this class, we will compare how different worldviews approach topics in today’s world and where we as Christians should stand. From theology and ethics to history and law, by focusing on apologetic issues, this class will help you better understand how to discuss and defend your faith.

Ancient Prayers in a Modern World: Discovering new life in the prayers of the Bible
Wednesdays at 7pm, starting January 10
Sanctuary, Hazel Dell Campus

Do you pray enough? No matter what your prayer habits are, you can probably pray more. But what about the prayers themselves? Do you find yourself praying the same thing over and over again? Do you repeat the same list of requests and the same words of worship to God each time you pray?

God certainly hears our prayers, but is it possible to find more power in our prayer times? Studying the prayers recorded in the Bible, beginning with the model Jesus gave us in The Lord’s Prayer, can invigorate our prayers in ways we never imagined.  Join us on Wednesdays as we use biblical examples to enrich our personal prayer lives.
