THE CALL

James 5:19-20
James ends his letter with a simple call to the Church; restore those who have fallen.
Simple conclusions:
- Believers can wander into sin.
- Believers can wander into sin that leads to death.
- Believers have a responsibility, a call, to bring them back.
This note was written to my brothers.
Ezekiel 3:18-21
The lesson here – we are held accountable for our silence in the face of sin!
The biggest problem in America today is the advance of secularism.
The biggest problem in the Church in America is our ease or our lack of desperation. We have power but we lack will.
Luke 16:19-26
Jesus never portrayed hell as:
- fiction
- temporary
- just a lesser Heaven
- a place where men would not go
Luke 19:10
What makes a person lost?
Romans 3:23
How am I saved?
Romans 3:21-25, Acts 10:37-43, Romans 10:9-13, John 3:36, Matthew 7:13-14
The Bible does not say there are many ways to heaven; it says there is one way, Jesus.
The enemy lies. We are told today there are many ways to heaven but only bad people go to hell. When in reality, only those who are saved go to heaven and there are many ways to hell.
Think about the Judgment.
1. What do you stand on?
2. What about others?
Challenge: Get someone to church this summer.
If you are uncomfortable with sharing your faith, go to the evangelism class this summer.
