Right Thinking

Being a Christ follower is all about change. The changes begin in our minds and continue throughout life. The brother in humble circumstances is in a trial of his faith, and the brother who is rich is in a trial of his faith as well. The one in humble circumstances needs to make sure his thinking is right. The rich man needs to remind himself daily of his need for God.

You understand that being a Christ follower is all about change.
 
The continuous changes that are to occur in our lives begin in our minds.

God uses His Word to reveal and His Spirit to convict.
 
1. James says whether you see yourself as rich or poor,    
     both are a trial.
 
2.  The brother in humble circumstances is in a trial of his
      faith.
 
Philippians 4:12

Hebrews 13:5
 
The brother in humble circumstances needs to make sure he is thinking right.
 
Humble circumstances are a trial and James challenges us to change our thinking and therefore be changed ourselves.

3. The brother who is rich is in a trial of his faith.
 
Luke 12:16
 
God calls him a fool.
 
Matthew 19:24
 
The rich man needs to remind himself daily of his need for God.
