Mandates and Expectations

The church has certain mandates from God. When we obey those mandates, we can expect certain reinforcements from God.

Isaiah 35:3-7
  1. The mission of the church is twofold
    1. Our first mandate is toward our brethren
      1. The church’s responsibility is to strengthen our brothers and sisters.

Hebrews 12:12
  1. Our hands accomplish doing
  2. Our knees have to do with going
  3. The job of the clergy is to equip the people in the church.
Hebrews 10:25
  1. The agenda of small groups is to encourage one another.
                                                                                                   i.      Cheer up, Lift up, Build up
  1. The second mandate is to the unsaved.
Isaiah 35:4
  1. We are called to share salvation.
  2. The message of salvation is the most important message.
  3. What are the expectations if we obey the mandates?
Isaiah 35:5
  1. We can expect God to do miracles.
Mark 16:17
a. When you share the gospel, God will validate it through miracles.
                       2. We can expect abundant blessings.
