In God We Trust

God was a part of building our nation. America is becoming very secularized. America is forgetting about God. People who do not study the Word will not know the difference between true doctrine and false doctrine. The only hope for America is the Church being the Church. We need to put our trust in God.

IN GOD WE TRUST

Hosea 13:4–9

I.  THE BIG LIE

God has been no part of building America.

God has been our helper.

If you listened to the world today you would think that our founding fathers had no thoughts of God whatsoever.

II. THE BIG BATTLE

Secularism: the dismissal of God from every area of public life.

Hosea 13:6

America has become proud and has forgotten God.

America has forgotten her helper and judgment is close at hand.

III. THE BIG CHALLENGE

Max Lucado speaks like a prophet in his book Fearless.

Will the person who can’t stand in faith and tithe stand the test of persecution?

Will the person who won’t give time for ministry sacrifice a job for the sake of the gospel?

Will the person who won’t live a holy life today stand separate from an angry world tomorrow?

Will the person who does not learn to pray or witness today stand in boldness?

In the last days people will not stand for solid, truthful doctrine. Will people who won’t study today even know when the doctrine is false?

As long as we have remembered God we have been blessed.

It is not the world that God condemns for forgetting Him, it is His people.

The hope for America is the Church being the Church.

What is your trust in today?
As for me and my house – in God we trust.
