A Heart Check

The biggest problem in the world is the heart of man. When the heart of man gets fixed, then the problems of the world get fixed. Our hearts are incapable of divine love. True Christians are changed at the heart level. Our hearts are changed when we rely totally on God. When you have God in your heart, you have love in your heart because God is love. Jesus is our advocate before God. He is interceding on our behalf. True healing is found in Jesus alone.

1 John 4:15–21
The biggest problem facing the world = the heart of man.
 
The vast majority of our problems would be fixed if the heart of man was fixed.
 
If the heart of man is not fixed the problems of the world will not be fixed. 
A mother’s love is the greatest example of pure love we experience in our daily lives.
 
Here is the heart check:
 
1. Our hearts are incapable of divine love.
 
2. The true Christian has been changed by Jesus at
    a heart level.
 
1 John 4:15–21
HOW?
A. We acknowledge Jesus is the Son of God.
B. We rely on God.

C. When God is in you, love is in your heart, because God is love.
This does not mean we are perfect.
 
What does a fault say to me? What does my fault say about me? What does my fault say about my salvation?
 
1 John 2
1.  We have an advocate before God.
 
1 John 1:8–9
2.  We find healing through confession.
 
D. The Christian has a presence of the love of God                   in him.
 
1 John 4:19

Our healing comes from Jesus.
