Music Ministry
Learning to make a joyful noise
Learning to worship God is one key to a victorious Christian life. Leading others to do the same is also a great blessing. Involvement in the Music Ministry gives you the opportunity to do both. Regardless of your age or musical background, the Music Ministry has something to offer you.
Sanctuary Orchestra
Sundays 8:30am and 9:45am
The Sanctuary Orchestra plays at all three Sunday services. We have openings for wind, guitar, percussion and keyboard players ages high school through adult. The orchestra also provides special music for our seasonal productions.
Sanctuary Choir
Wednesdays 6-7 p.m. & Sundays 8:45-9 a.m.
The Sanctuary Choir leads our congregation in worship and ministers in song each Sunday morning in both services. Singers from all levels of experience are welcome to join as we work together to glorify God. In addition to preparing for weekly services the choir also presents annual Easter, Freedom Fest and Christmas productions. Many opportunities also exist for members of the choir to participate in vocal ensembles or praise teams to provide special music for various services.
Instrumental Music
In the Psalms we are admonished to praise the Lord with "the sounding of the trumpet, praise Him with the harp and lyre, praise Him with tambourine and dancing, praise Him with the strings and flute, praise Him with the clash of cymbals" (Psalms 150:3-5). Through Calvary's instrumental music program you can learn to play an instrument or improve your skills while you receive a blessing from using your gifts and talents to praise and worship the Lord.
