Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. 25 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Me will find it. 26 What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a a man give in exchange for his soul?" Matt. 16:24 (NIV)

Gaining the whole world and forfeiting your soul. This is an incredible price to pay! God paid an even more incredible price when He gave His Son as a sacrifice for our sins. So many people today are spending their lives chasing after temporal things. Are you chasing after God or temporal things? Are you hungry for more of Him in your life? As our hunger for God grows, our desire to devote our lives to His cause also intensifies. With this intensity comes a deeper understanding of the great commission. We are to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him.

Beer Lahai Roi Home for unwed pregnant women 
Contact Ministries Shelter for homeless - Hurting people call and ask for someone to share their pain or simply someone who cares to listen to them and help them find a new perspective on their concerns.
Crisis Pregnancy Center Provides counseling and educaton on pregnancy, adoption and abortion. Provides maternity and baby supplies, childbirth classes, parenting classes, mentoring and support of pre and post natal delivery, sexual purity education, and referrals for: medical care, social services, education and housing.
Feed the Hungry  
The Hitting Center A part of Calvary Temple's sports ministry - It offers private lessons, automated baseball cages, group lessons and clinics in an open, friendly atmosphere where leaders and coaches develop realationships with their students in an effort to help them with their game and whatever life tosses their way.
Hope Thrift Center A community and world outreach that serves the Springfield area where volunteers work daily to provide an inexpensive store that is fully stocked with clean, usable items in a warm, friendly environment. Proceeds are directed to world missions.
Latin American Child Care Meeting the physical and spiritual needs of children in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Mini O'Bierne Crisis Nursery Provides emergency shelter for children who are at risk of abuse and neglect while providing services to help resolve the family crisis.
Salvation Army A religious and charitable organization seeking to meet the physical and spiritual needs of hurting individuals.
SPAM (SonPower and Missions) Calvary Temple's Children Department raises money for missionaries' supplies related to evangelism and discipleship, such as: sound systems, music, puppets and Bibles.
Speed the Light Provides vehicles for missionaries.
Teen Challenge Working with teens with addictions.
Washington Street Mission  
WIBI Radio Christian radio with a goal to blanket the State of Illinois with Christ-centered music and programming to reach people around the clock.

North Central University Exists to provide Christian education in Pentecostal environment, training students for ministry to God, the church and the world. Students are trained in all aspects of church-related ministry, with emphasis on pastoral leadership, preaching, teaching, evangelism, church planting, missions and music.
Southeastern Bible College A Christian college to prepare students for ministry to God, the church and the world.
Tom May, Northern Illinois Campus Tom and Jan have weekly meetings on campus for believers. They do the work of an evangelist whether doing a presentation to a classroom refuting evolution or offering hope out of the homosexual lifestyle, they are investing their lives to witnessing to an unchurched generation.
