Questions about our web site

Our website has had a bit of a make-over. Since around June of last year, when we first started to really put some time and effort into our website, we have learned of many new things that Calvary Temple's congregation and community needs in a website. Check out some explanations below.

Why the new look?

There are a couple reasons why we changed the look and feel of the Calvary Temple website. About a year ago, we created a web site as fast as we could to get our church's name on the internet and to provide some basic information for our congregation and community. There are two primary reasons we made this change. One thing we did was to make it a little easier to maintain. This way we can get important information up faster. Another reason is that we needed to add new functionality to deliver to all of you things such as calendars and fresh information. Adding some of these things created a need to completely re-design our entire website.

What's new on our site?

A feature you may appreciate is our calendars. There is still a main calendar for Calvary Temple which contains information on church-wide events and info, but we have also made calendars for each ministry, so you can keep track of what you want, without having to dig through things you don't want. Using Google.com's free calendar technology, we are able to keep major events posted. If you are interested, you can sign up for google calendar and subscribe to any of our calendars. Once you've created a google calendar account, click on browse the calendar you would like to subscribe to, and click "subscribe to this calendar."

Another feature you might find helpful is our online giving page. We have recieved so many requests for this feature that we decided it was time to provide it.

Some minor additions include a contact form for you to get ahold of us or send prayer requests and suggestions. We also tried to make everything very simple to find. On most pages, the right column contains quick links to get you to some of our most commonly visited areas, as well as links related to the content of the particular page you are on to show you what we provide in areas of similar interest.
